Guides for recording your TTRPG games
Choose your situation to record a TTRPG game, add an audio file, or review your session notes.
What is your situation?
Discord recording and adding a file are separate paths. Start with the one that matches your game.
I play TTRPGs on Discord
Start VoLog without an account, then find the short recap of the game and its transcript.
I already have an audio file
Record with your own device or OBS, then sign in to create a session directly.
- Record a TTRPG game with your own device Place a phone, computer or voice recorder near your TTRPG table, check the sound, then export one file.
- Record a remote TTRPG game with OBS Record your TTRPG game on Discord and your microphone in one file, then export an MP3 file to add to VoLog.
- Create a Session from an audio file Add the audio file from your game, check its duration and displayed cost, then start creating the Session.
After the game
Review a session or solve a specific problem.
Before you begin
- Tell everyone present and obtain their agreement before recording.
- With Discord, no audio file is returned: find the transcript from the bot link or in the Workshop.
- With your own device, make a short test and keep the original file until transcription is complete.
