Review the Full note

After creating a Session, review and correct its note before preparing the remaining content.

Updated Aug 24, 2026

Check that the Session has been created

This guide begins after creating a Session from an audio file or from a Discord game transcript with Create the Session. The free transcript does not require this approval unless you choose to create the Session.

When the screen indicates that the Full note is ready for review, VoLog waits for your approval before preparing the remaining content.

If the transcript is partial, VoLog displays a general warning. It does not identify or highlight the affected passages, so review the entire note.

Review and edit the Full note

  1. Open the Full note when VoLog requests your review.
  2. Check character, location and organisation names, important decisions, items obtained and the order of scenes.
  3. Edit Your draft directly. Changes are saved automatically.
  4. To discard your changes and return to the version created from the audio, open Other actions, then select Restore initial note. This action replaces the current draft.

A transcript can contain mistakes even when the sound is clear. Check the note before approving it.

Correct with VoLog

  1. Select Correct with VoLog.
  2. Describe errors, missing information or names to fix. The confirmation button displays Included or 5 credits before the action starts. No VoLog Credits are deducted when it displays Included.
  3. When the changes are ready, review them in the displayed comparison.
  4. Select Apply to draft to replace only the draft. You can still edit it before approval.

This action does not replace your review of the Full note.

Approve and prepare content

  1. Read the draft one last time.
  2. Select Approve note and prepare content.
  3. Confirm the same action in the dialog.
  4. Wait for preparation to finish. VoLog creates the Session summary, Session report, Highlights, characters, locations, items, spells and powers.

If a preparation step fails, Try again restarts that step without repeating transcription or completed steps. If VoLog can no longer continue, Open incomplete Session keeps the available content. For common problems, see Audio troubleshooting.
